Step 1: Decide the Purpose and Select the Conveyor Belt Material
The first step in making a conveyor belt is to determine its purpose. Why? The reason is that the purpose for which the belt is being made can affect its specification. For example, if you need a conveyor belt for transferring light material, you may not need a heavy-duty belt.
Additionally, if the materials are smaller, e.g., in a box, you’ll need a smaller conveyor belt.
For large, heavy materials, you’ll need robust conveyor belts that can withstand the load. Secondly, you must decide on the conveyor belt material before starting. Various materials are available for making conveyor belts.
If your use case is light, I recommend using either PVC or tela. These materials are cheaper and can be used to make conveyor belts at a low cost.
